One particular material that has become quite popular over the last few years is silicone. Unlike other materials, silicone bongs are not fragile. They’re extremely durable, with the added benefit of being quite flexible, making it easy to squeeze your bong into your luggage or backpack, without worrying too much about space, or even breakage. They’re usually made up of a few removable parts, making them incredibly easy to clean too. And the quality of the smoke is comparable to that of bongs made from other materials, so in addition to not having to worry about breaking the bong, you also don’t need to worry about any change in the standard of any smoking session.

Naturally, silicone bongs haven’t been around as long as bongs made from other materials such as glass, acrylic, and ceramic, so the amount of silicone bongs available – along with the designs or styles – is more limited. But if you want a bong that can travel easily, it should be your go-to choice.

All silicone bongs sold by The Bong Shop are made from BPA-free, medical, and food-grade silicone – this is the standard when it comes to silicone bongs, but still, something you should look for, especially if you’re buying your silicone bong elsewhere. Even though the styles and designs are more limited than glass or ceramic bongs, this doesn’t mean you are restricted in terms of features. A lift-out glass cone features in almost all silicone bongs, but designers are starting to explore other features. Our Short Stack Silicone Bong comes in a variety of bright designs and colours and includes a small silicone storage tub that fits discreetly into the base of the bong, so you’re able to keep your stash close at hand, but still out of the way. The main body includes a diffuser disc to filter the smoke or for stacking ice cubes for cooling the smoke. But it is removable, so you don’t have to use it. And while the long neck appears wider than some necks, it has a minimiser to narrow the smoke as it is drawn through.

The Fuel Up Silicone Bong has similar dimensions to the Short Stack, but with a slightly more ergonomic design making it easier to hold – and with a suction grip base allowing you to stick it to a surface and avoid accidental spills from knocking the bong over. The glass cone can also be lifted out to aid air intake, with a diffuser stem for extra filtering. A recent addition to our collection of silicone bongs is the Ice Cream Cone Silicone Bong. More compact, the fun design still includes a lift-out glass cone, along with a silicone mouthpiece and internal stem. And all silicone in this quirky little bong is BPA-free and medical and food grade.

Even if you prefer a glass bong above all else, adding a silicone bong to your collection can be very useful if you find yourself wanting to travel with a bong without having to worry about it breaking. And just because they’re almost indestructible doesn’t mean you have to pay a premium; most silicone bongs are much more affordable than glass and ceramic bongs.
