Why do you need Kava Straining Bags? Kavalactones are not soluble in water – just like oil. Unlike our Instant kava range, traditional kava powder won’t dissolve if you apply water. It would be best if you agitated the kava powder in the water to release the kava lactones. This is where a kava-straining bag is essential for all traditional kava powder drinkers!
Many things can be used to filter kava, people often use stockings, cheesecloth or even old t-shirts! However, having a high-micron kava strainer can significantly increase the extraction of kavalactones and the quality of the filtered end product.
