Movies have inspired everything from our fashion to our cars so why not smoking pipes? We've covered our favourite stoner movies but now let's take a look at the best movie bongs. If you've ever wondered where they got their gear then wonder no more! We've matched up our closest dupes with the most memorable movie moments.
TED (2012)
Who can forget the bong-hitting teddy bear in the 2012 hit “Ted The plot centres around John Bennett (hilariously played by Mark Wahlberg) a grown man whose childhood wish of bringing his teddy bear to life came true, but who must now decide between Ted and his girlfriend, Lori (played by Mila Kunis). Ted is one derelict bear. Crude, funny and frequently stoned, Ted likes nothing better than taking a rip on his little glass pipe. For a similar deal, take a look at our Mini Glass Bong with a bubble base and nicely bent mouthpiece. It's a classic that fits perfectly in your hands just like Ted's.
Extract (2009)
Extract is a classic anti-hero movie. The lead character, Joel (played by Jason Bateman) is the owner of an extract manufacturing plant who is down on his luck. His friend Dean (Ben Affleck) notices his stress levels and suggests he chill out with a little pot with the infamous line “it's not a drug, it's a flowerâ€. He takes Joel back to his friend's house where they smoke from the biggest red bong we've ever seen. We can't offer you their super-sized bong but our 60cm bright red Acrylic Monster Bong is the next best thing.
Barbarella (1968)
Go back to the swinging sixties with the classic space hit Barbarella. Jane Fonda plays an astronaut from the 41st century on a mission to stop an evil scientist. She lands on the frozen planet Lythion where a new sin is invented every hour. There she encounters everything from a giant sex organ to a psychedelic space bong that dispenses the Essence of Man. While we don't currently have any space bongs in stock, we think our green 2-Hose Watermelon Base Hookah has the same kind of vibe, and you can always make your own 60's style fringe at home.
Your Highness (2011)
Two young princes (James Franco and Danny McBride) go on a daring mission to save the future princess Isabel (played by Natalie Portman) from an evil wizard. All is going to plan except one of the brothers (McBride) is a wizard-weed stoner who isn't much help. Along the way there are many mishaps but one particularly memorable scene is when the two brothers meet a wise wizard who shares his pipe and invites them to share in a vision. Share in a vision yourself with our extra long Metal Smoking Pipes.
